went to sea at the tender age of fifteen on board Carnival Cruise Lines’
Mardi Gras as a blackjack dealer!
He immediately fell in love with the sea and continued to work on ships during every summer and holiday vacation until graduating from Roger Williams University with a degree in Hotel Management. At age twenty-one he became the youngest ever Cruise Director in the industry aboard Chandris Fantasy Cruises' Amerikanis.
Since then, he has served as Cruise Director aboard: Bermuda Star Line, Regency Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, and Renaissance Cruises. While with Renaissance, Rich was honored to be chosen as the Inaugural Cruise Director aboard the new R1, R2, and R7.
September 2002 Marked the beginning of the latest chapter in Rich's sea going career, when he joined Princess Cruises as Cruise Director. Since joining Princess he has served as Cruise Director aboard the Sea Princess, the new Pacific Princess, Coral Princess, the new Island Princess, Golden Princess, Caribbean Princess, and Diamond Princess.
In addition to his ocean going career, Rich is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ship Services International, Inc., a South Florida firm specializing in the hiring of Cruise Staff for the cruise industry.
